Job Summary: 

The Purchase Engineer will play a crucial role in procurement activities within the EPC sector, particularly focusing on Water and Wastewater Projects. The role demands expertise in vendor management, sourcing, negotiations, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to site locations. The engineer will need to exhibit strong technical knowledge of industry standards and electromechanical equipment used in water treatment systems.

Responsibilities:

1. 1.Purchase of Raw Material for Water and Wastewater Systems.
2. 2.Develop and qualify vendors suitable for project requirements.
3. 3.Conduct negotiations with vendors and prepare Comparative Statements.
4. 4.Release Purchase Orders efficiently through ERP systems.
5. 5.Understand Bill of Materials (BOM) and study technical drawings effectively.
6. 6.Apply in-depth knowledge of industry design standards to procurement activities.
7. 7.Familiarity with Electromechanical Equipment used in Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems.
8. 8.Ensure adherence to quality standards, manage costs effectively, and oversee timely delivery at project sites.
9. 9.Negotiate supplier quotations to optimize project costs.
10. 10.Collaborate in developing subcontractors for manufacturing processes as required.
11. 11.Regularly evaluate vendor performance to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Requirements:

• 1.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field.
• 2.Proven experience of 4 – 8 years in procurement within the EPC industry, preferably in Water and Wastewater projects.
• 3.Proficiency in sourcing, vendor development, and supply chain management.
• 4.Strong negotiation skills and ability to prepare Comparative Statements.
• 5.Competence in using ERP software for Purchase Order management.
• 6.Ability to interpret and apply Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical drawings.
• 7.Knowledge of industry standards and electromechanical equipment used in water treatment systems.
• 8.Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional interactions.
• 9.Proficiency in MS Office suite and database management.
• 10.Result-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
• 11.Hands-on experience in using ERP systems for procurement activities.
